Webquests of the indigenous civilizations of the Americas

Long before Columbus landed in the new world, many great civilizations flourished throughout North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.  Their cities were bigger than any that existed in Europe at the time, and the buildings they constructed rivaled those of the Greeks and the Egyptians.
They developed complex languages, advanced mathematical concepts, and extensive transportation systems. Their kings and queens were as regal as any in the courts of France or England, and their wealth in gold, silver, and jade was immense!
These were truly the "first comers" to the Americas!
